Quarter-life crisis….begin!

Oh yeah, it’s definitely that time. I’m 22 years old, two weeks away from graduating, and suddenly terrified out of my mind. I have no idea how I’m going to make it through the next two weeks or what I will do after that. So in this time, I ask you for prayers. If you are indeed the praying type, specific prayer requests are:

-That I will have the focus, dedication and motivation to commit 100% to the remainder of this semester. This involves three papers, three finals, and a lab.
-That I will be successful in giving up my addiction.
-For my job search. That I will know the right job when it comes to me and that I will trust God to take it, no matter where or what it is.
-That I will listen to God and follow Him when it comes to my relationship with that certain someone in my life.
-And most of all, that I will continue to seek God throughout all this stress.

So why do I worry? Why do I freak out? God knows what I need.
Jon Foreman

Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.
Matthew 6:34

Friday, I’ll be 40. FORTY! I never thought I’d live to see the day. Truly.

So, already with the life crisis? Ha, I guess I was too self-absorbed to have those issues at 22. Freshly tattooed and already in debt when I hit the street, figuratively speaking, after college. A month later, I was working. Just some Joe-job at a hotel, but it set me up for what became my career. Mostly, things work out over time, if you give them the time to work. And, of course, if you just keep on doing the right things, even when it seems like no one else cares or is paying attention.

Ennui can strike at any age, especially when everything seems to be changing faster than we can track. Don’t worry, you’ll get through it. All the oldsters that surround you all survived it, so you can, too.
